100 Miles. 2 Days. 1 Cause.

The first step in fundraising is to set up a free online page to share your story, collect funds, and build awareness.

Perhaps the most successful way Ride4ROW athletes have raised money in the past is through letter or email campaigns. Your family and friends want to hear from you. They want to know what you’re up to. And they want to help in any way they can. It’s up to you to ask them.

Step 1: Write a letter. Check out this example to get inspired, borrow from it if you like! MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE YOUR FUNDRAISING LINK!

Step 2: Have somebody proofread it before sending. You don’t want recipients focusing on the one typo rather than the many great things you’re telling them in the letter.

Step 3: Send it out! Remember that no donation is too small, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be afraid to ask big! The number one reason people give for not donating to charitable causes is that they haven’t been asked. When you ask for people’s support, you’re giving them an opportunity to make a difference.

Now, all you need to do is draw attention to your fundraising page.

1.     Include your webpage link in your email signature with a comment about your participation.

2.     Share on social media, facebook, twitter and more.

3.    Talk about why you're doing this and why this ride and this cause is important to you.
